Changing speedometer cluster?

Is it possible to swap out the cluster on my ninja 500r for a different one? I'm thinking of a digital cluster. I'll go ahead and let you know that I'm pretty unknowledgeable about bikes (I'm trying to fix this! ) so if the answer is no, can please quickly explain to me why? Thanks everyone!
