Homestead-Miami Speedway Advance | Ford EcoBoost 200

One More Time: After his most disappointing finish this season at Phoenix International Raceway last weekend, Parker Kligerman is ready to put the past behind him and pull out all the stops for Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend. With his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship title hopes dashed after an incident cost him several valuable points and a 27th place finish, Kligerman has his mind set on nothing but a win for the Ford EcoBoost 200 on Friday night. Armed with a brand new Toyota Tundra chassis built by Red Horse Racing, the Connecticut-native driver is prepared to give everything he has for the win in the final race of 2012.

“I feel like it’s a place that I struggled with a little bit at first but I think I found something to help me there last year to get around it much better and now, and I consider it one of my favorite tracks. We’ll be going there with a brand new truck and we’re bringing everything we have, guns blazing, and hope to end up in victory lane.”

Year in Review: After joining Red Horse Racing as the driver of the No. 7 Toyota Tundra, Parker Kligerman has posted six of his eight total top-five finishes this season, including his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory at Talladega Superspeedway. Entering each weekend with a legitimate shot to compete for the win, Kligerman is satisfied with his season and happy with his time spent at Red Horse.

“Since I’ve been at Red Horse Racing we have run top-three or top-five just about every week. If we finish, we run top-three or top-four. No doubt in my mind that we can get that first mile-and-a-half win for Red Horse Racing at Homestead. It’s been a special last half of the season and I’m thankful for the opportunity to come here and be able to challenge for as many wins as we have, and get my first victory at Talladega too. No matter what happens at Homestead, I’m very pleased with what we’ve accomplished thus far.

Previous Race Recap: In the midst of a fight for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship, Parker Kligerman and the No. 7 Red Horse Racing team traveled to Phoenix International Raceway on Friday night for the Lucas Oil 150 with hopes to capitalize in the second to last race of 2012. Putting together a fast Tundra during both practice sessions and qualifying, a loose handling condition in his No. 7 Toyota Tundra surfaced during the race and sent Kligerman spinning on lap 55, resulting in significant damage and a 27th place finish.

Chassis History: Debuting the newest Red Horse Racing built chassis at Homestead-Miami this weekend, Kligerman will be behind the wheel of Red Horse Racing chassis 008. This Tundra was built from the ground up at Red Horse and will see the track for the first time after preparations by the No. 7 team and crew chief Chad Kendrick.

Do you enjoy going to Miami for the final race of the year?

“I love Miami actually. When people ask me, ‘What is your favorite race of the year?’ I always say, ‘Miami.’ It’s a shame we only get to go there once a year, but it also makes it that much more special to go there for the season finale. I love racing in the hot, slick conditions, and when we go down there, it gets hot and you can spend some time on the beach. It’s a cool track but it’s also a really awesome area. It’s just a picturesque way to end the season and hopefully celebrate a successful season.”
