F1 Race Stars Coming in November—Think Mario Kart with F1 Drivers [Video Games]

Codemasters recently announced that it plans to bring a new, Mario Kart–style arcade racing video game to market. Big deal, right? Actually, it sort of is—at least in our neck of the woods—as the game takes the party-carting formula and stirs in a liberal helping of Formula 1–licensed drivers and cars. For those unfamiliar with what “party-carting” means, it’s basically a cartoonish racing format perfected by Nintendo’s Mario Kart franchise; games that fall into this category are usually at their best when they’re played with a group of friends. The developer gave us an early look at the upcoming title at its HQ in England, and we came away fairly excited to see the final product. Read full story »
