Nasr, da Costa sign up for Macau
Felipe Nasr, Antonio Felix da Costa and Kevin Korjus are among the 30 drivers included on the provisional entry list for this year’s Macau Grand Prix.
None of the trio have competed in F3 so far this season, but will all do so in order to gain eligibility for Macau, which takes place on 18 November.
Daniel Juncadella, who beat Nasr to victory in last year’s race, is meanwhile set to defend his crown.
Since the event switched to F3 machinery in 1983 only one man has managed back-to-back victories at the street circuit – Edoardo Mortara, who won in 2009 and ’10.
Juncadella will be joined by Prema team-mates and F3 Euro Series rivals Raffaele Marciello and Sven Muller. Twenty-year-old Dutchman Hannes van Asseldonk will also move into the squad, having raced for Fortec in the Euro Series and British F3.
Nasr and da Costa form part of Carlin’s six-strong line-up for Macau.
Newly crowned British F3 champion Jack Harvey, GP3 runner-up Daniel Abt, Carlos Sainz Jr and Will Buller complete the British squad’s roster.
Other notable entrants include Ryo Hirakawa, champion in this year’s Japanese F3 series, and ATS Formel 3 Cup winner Jimmy Eriksson, who will partner Korjus at Double R Racing.
Alexander Sims, who has raced in a combination of F3 and sportscar events this year – including Le Mans – will make his fourth consecutive appearance at Macau, this time driving for T-Sport.
