Nissan launches 2013 V8 programme
Nissan has announced that James Moffat and Michael Caruso will complete its factory V8 Supercars line-up, as it launched its four-car programme and unveiled its 2013 liveries.
Kelly Racing will run the four Altimas for Nissan’s return to Australia’s leading motorsport championship.
Brothers Rick and Todd Kelly stay on to drive two of the cars.
Caruso and Moffat move across from Garry Rogers Motorsport and Dick Johnson Racing respectively. They replace Karl Reindler and Greg Murphy.
“In these situations at the start of a year, especially when you have to build all new cars and new team, you never really realise what you’ve achieved,” Todd Kelly said.
“You don’t really feel what you’ve entered into until you pull the covers of the car at the launch every year.”
The Nissan entry is one of two new additions to V8 Supercars for 2013. Erebus, which has taken over the Stone Brothers team, will unveil its Mercedes E36 on Thursday.
The pre-season test takes place at Eastern Creek this Saturday.
