Here it Is: 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible! [2013 Geneva Auto Show]
Chevrolet’s newest Corvette made its big debut in coupe form at this year’s Detroit auto show, and now the topless version of America’s sports-car icon is looking to steal a slice of the Geneva auto show. To build excitement for the C7 Corvette Stingray convertible’s reveal, Chevy has released two images of the roadster—one showing the car top-up and the other depicting it top-down.
- Photos and Info: 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray / Z51
- Comparison Test: 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 vs. Porsche 911 Carrera S, 2013 Nissan GT-R
- Instrumented Test: 2013 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible
There’s not much about the Stingray convertible’s look that’s surprising, and it looks pretty much the same as the renderings of a red droptop we published soon after the Stingray coupe debuted. The topless Vette features a pair of speedster-style humps molded into the rear deck/tonneu cover, and the tapering shape of the coupe’s backlight is echoed by a raised character line that flows from the base of the A-pillar to the rear edge of the trunklid. Otherwise, the C7′s basic styling carries over unchanged—and that’s a good thing. Look for more detailed info on the Stingray convertible to come out of Geneva.
